Works at A57 junction - Odder

Postby Robert Parker » Thu May 26, 2011 9:14 am

As many of our local residents use the A57 out of Lincoln, I wanted to give prior information on planned works at the junction in Odder with the garage/Cafe complex during 31st May - 1st July 2011 (6 working weeks).

· The works will be carried out within the following hours:

- Weekdays 0730 – 1700
- Saturday mornings 0730 – 1230

· Two-way temporary signals will be in place for the duration of the works, with access to businesses

· The works consist of:

- Minor carriageway widening

- Realignment of the central refuges

- Enhanced bollard sizes, illuminated beacons and keep left signs

- Realignment of the link footway and crossing points

- Removal of existing carriageway lining

- Provision of enhanced carriageway lining

- Enhanced signing on the approaches

· The works will be carried out by the County Council’s Highways Alliance works partner (May Gurney)

· Advance signing is in place and Business Open as Usual signs are to be in place for the duration of the works.

· Burton Waters have also been informed.

I hope this information is of use for local residents.

Many thanks,

Cllr Robert Parker
County Councillor - Lincoln West Division

This info would have been really beneficial if you had posted it a month ago.

The works have been ongoing for the past 3 weeks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depends on the officer at County Council who has been dealing with it. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. It's called communication which is lacking.
