The noticeboard funded by Karen Lee's and Neil Murray's ward budgets has been completed by Pelican Trust. We plan to put it near the bus shelter on Long Leys Road. The land belongs to the County Council and permission will hopefully be forthcoming in the next week. So, does anyone have any unused post crete, cement, post holders, cheap access to such, time, enthusiasm or expertise to help 'plant' it? The posts are 4"x4" x8' and the noticeboard is 1000x600x110.

If any local people would like to advertise anything on it also let me know by PM. We haven't discussed it yet but charges will be minimal and may help pay for its installation and keep the Carols on the Green going if ward budgets are slashed or stopped.

Thanks

You're a star Mark. I was supposed to hear from the council last week but it never happened. Also the hospital plan a meet in case the council say 'no' and then they may say 'yes' to fixing it to the wall.

I'll let you know.

Thanks so much Mark and Rob for your offers but, as half expected, it has to be installed 'officially'. While I have now had a free offer for that, there are other hurdles that need to be jumped before even that can go ahead. Will update with the outcome when it has been sorted.
