Part 1 - Particulars of application
Date application: Application No.
28th February 2008 2008/0045/F
Location of Development:
Pyewipe Inn, Saxilby Road Lincoln LN1 2BG
Particulars of Development:
Erection of four interconnecting marquees between the existing public house and the A46 (RETROSPECTIVE) (RESUBMISSION).
Part II - Particulars of decision
The City of Lincoln Council refuse planning permission for the development described above and shown on drawing no. 2149/07/300 received 21st January 2008.
The reasons for the Local Planning Authority's refusal are:-
1. The application site is located within an area identified as basic natural stock and the proposal would cause harm to the landscape, amenity and interest of the area by reason of the position, scale, number and design of the marquees, contrary to Policy 43 and 44B of the City of Lincoln Local Plan.
2. The submitted noise assessment is lacking in detail to satisfactorily demonstrate how the residential amenities of occupants of properties to the north east would not be harmed through noise nuisance from the marquees given that the structures provide very little sound attenuation and that there is no barrier to attenuate noise travelling towards these properties, contrary to Policy 34 of the City of Lincoln Local Plan and PPG24.
