I'll happily write to anyone if it'll help get the work started on these steps a little sooner.

Last night I walked down from Higson with my dog to be greeted by several lads sitting on the raised area at the top of steps, just by the bend. They were all drinking and a couple were smoking joints. One was stood on the raised area urinating onto the steps; not into the grass or bushes, but directly onto the steps below for us all to walk through. Not the sort of people any of us want hanging around near our homes I'm sure.

Perhaps getting the steps sorted will increase use and therefore deter these characters from making them a regular haunt.

So, if there's a list of people who'll be writing to Martin, add my name to it!

And if anyone has suggestions for others who I could help pester to get this process moving, please let me know...

Might also be worth contacting any of the following Paul - you never know, there may be someone in the area:

Neighbourhood Policing Team:
All Neighbourhood Policing Team members carry mobile phones whilst on duty. If an officer is not on duty a voicemail message will ask you to call an alternative number
PCSO Simon King 07900 221 847
PCSO Peter Davies 07944 776890
Local Police 532222

It's annoying as well if you're with a friendly dog - just when you want to show disgust the dog wants to be friendly!!

Thanks Deb.

And you're right about the friendly dog. They were actually really freindly back to her when she wondered over and flopped onto her back for a tummy rub (thankfully away from the urine!), making it harder again to show disgust...
