Rehab development - demolition work to start

Postby Amber_NHS » Tue Aug 17, 2010 3:10 pm

The buildings currently known as Yarborough Court (off Long Leys Road) are to be demolished this week to make way for the construction of a new rehabilitation unit.

The services formally provided by Yarborough Court have been relocated into new premises on Outer Circle Road, Lincoln.

The development of a new rehabilitation unit will bring rehabilitation services for both men and women into the county for the first time. Currently female patients have to go to neighbouring counties for residential treatment. Lincolnshire's new rehabilitation unit will allow patients to receive treatment close to their family and friends and the community-based support services they they will need once they have been discharged.

The new rehabilitation unit will be open in 2012.
