Hi,

We have just moved to St Georges Park and we were wondering where the nearest post box is?

Many Thanks

I don't think there is one on the actual estate but goodness knows why with over a 1000 residents. (Deb will know better)

There is one on Long Leys Road set in the wall by the entrance to Gervas House, St George's Hospital. One collection a day.

Hi Steve

The other problem with it is that it is so small. It was OK before we all moved in but occasionall the box gets too full. I interrupted some boys getting post out of the box! Christmas and ends of the weeks are also bad sometimes.

Where I lived before coming to Lincoln the Postmaster exchanged a hole in the wall box for a free standing cylindrical one.

Thanks Steve, John - I will have word with the PO and see if anything can be done to get either an additional one on the estate or a bigger one.

Just a WARNING : When we moved in some 9 years or so. our neighbour who at the time would work from home several days a week would use the box on a daily basis and complained to Royal Mail that the box was sometimes full to the brim with only one collection a day. She found out through her work that many of her letters had gone astray on numerous occasions, only to discover that someone had emptied the overflowing box and actually threw many of her letters over the wall into the hospital grounds and were subsequently retrieved by NHS workers.
