You are invited to attend the Long Leys Resdients' Association Open Meeting on Wednesday, 15th July, beginning at 7.00pm.
It is being held at the Lincolnshire County Council's offices on Newland in the Carholme Ward.

The car park entrance (free) is sited on West Parade at the back of County Hall. Please use the back entrance to the building.

The gain entrance to the car park (second entrance) is from the the West Parade/The Avenue junction ( traffic lights). Motorists can use Yarborough Road coming down hill and turn left at the junction. Another way can be by using Hampton Street, where the school is, go to the junction at West Parade, turn left and straight on meeting the Avenue/West Parade juncion and keep going east. Those walking using Yarborough Road can do likewise or use the West Common going onto West Parade, etc.

Will residents who have cars, please bring those who have no transport. Thanks!

The agenda is...
the election of a new LLRA committee
an open forum on local issues
and to say your say.

Please come along and give your support

The Social Education Centre on Long Leys Road is being sold by Lincolnshire County Council soon. For what, waits to be seen.

Karl McCartney, the PPC Conservative candidate for Lincoln and his business associates, are pressing ahead for a Race Course using the West Common.

Lincoln City Council is going ahead to deregulate the 1985 Lincoln Commons Act which protects the West Common.

These and other items to be discussed will affect you.

To find out more, please come to the meeting arranged for Wednesday evening.

good morning ,
I attended the above with about a dozen or so fellow residence(including the committee!!!!!)
Excellent meeting-PATHETIC/MISERABLE ATTENDANCE!!!!!!!!!
Come on people,if you want this Association to work,YOU need to "SUPPORT IT"
As usual, counciler Parker (county council) was in attendence, and very supportive and informative i might add.
Very disapointing that NO city counciler could make it-considering there are three of them, and it was our AGM!
The constitution HAD to be changed/amended due to the "POOR TURN-OUT".
The currant Chaiman,Rev.Pete stepped down as he is moving on to "pastures new" I personally thanked him(on behalf of the meeting) for his endevours over
the past couple of years.A new chairman and deputy were duly elected, good luck and keep-up the good work!!
Finally,this is YOUR ASSOCIATION.A good and worth-while cause,combating "LOCAL ISSUES"-THIS SITE ALONE HAS OVER 140 MEMBERS-Enough said!!!!!!
Next time come along ,"STAND-UP AND BE COUNTED",
