they reckoned they'd be ready to go November. Don't know what the plan is but would be surprised if it was very far different from Maidment.

thanks deb does this include manrico green and the leafy walk across the top of the estate [well that is what we should be getting according to original henry boot plan ] and i can not see why it should change as the layout of houses is the same--lets hope the council have not agreed to changes with out telling us

I know you mentioned the original plan had trees planted within people's boundaries. I don't know if that still stands but if mine was included I will be digging it up and planting it at the top where there is nothing as I have planted a tree already and another on such a small plot would be ludicrous even if there is enough water to go around! I don't know if top Manrico has planting, as originally pipes were left 'in case of further building'. Can't see building there now for the forseeable future. Basically I thought there was only Manrico green left and some of the dead trees up there will need replacing too. Persimmons - now that's a different matter...

starting at the top of berliden and walking across the top of the estate on the footpath[hush my mouth ] village
the sections of grass against the house fences aprox1m wide all the way across this path until it gets over to vindex .where infact it has been planted[ had to to sell the houses so had to do something].
also back at the starting point the very steep strip of grass up to the start of the steps should have been protected ie ""existing shrubs fenced off"" infact it was not boots who destroyed them it was d w
manrico green should be a mixture of existing shrubs /old trees/new trees and grass
the tall fence back onto the hill side should have a beech hedge planted in front of it in certain areas
deb the wedge of grass at the side of you should be planted[shrubs and trees.
again the grass to the right of the path should be shrubed over to vindex ,the grass at the top of vindex should have trees and shrubs on it .i agree the people who do not want the trees on there land these should go up against the fence
but you never know some may want them
THERE IS NO REASON FOR THIS AREA TO DE CHANGED FROM THE ORIGINAL PLANNNG APLICATION
SO LETS PUSH FOR IT OR BARRETS WILL ONLY POCKET THE MONYES AS IT WILL HAVE BEEN COSTED AND THAT COST PASSED ON TO US ALL IN THE PRICE OF YOUR HOUSE

I can't speak for others but my neighbour tried planting in the green strip by us, just putting in primroses and gave up! The soil is very shallow and the concrete from the path comes into it by over a foot in places. There is no way a beech hedge or probably anything else would survive. We'll see what they do. The council have to pass and inspect their final planting plans so any fight would be with the council, however I have the contact there so will tell them about the original and ask that they ensure it follows that as closely as possible. However since they would have been starting in a month it may already have gone through. I'll let you know what the reply is.

Reply from City Hall as follows:
"I have been contacted by the developer’s landscape architect with revisions to the landscaping for the site. I have yet to agree these, but I expect that we will require at least as high a standard of planting etc as we had formally agreed before the changes to the dwelling location were made.

Before the site is signed off and the City Council agree to adopt the verges and public open spaces, officers from the City Council visit and check that the standard of what has been done is acceptable, so any areas that don’t come up to scratch will have to be re-done to our satisfaction before we take them on.

The developer hasn’t given us much time to approve the works before November, so it may be that they have to wait a while until we have formally agreed the scheme, but I will endeavour to sort this out asap."
