Yes, Wilsons part is pretty much covered and it's good to see that the new ones top and bottom of the steps are being used but I don't walk the bits around Persimmons front or Persimmons flats. I think it's up to those residents to say. Obviously you feel they should take the stuff home but while I'm happy to clean up I want to get rid at the first opportunity and not be carrying it round while I'm throwing sticks or whatever. If it encourages one person from leaving the stuff on the paths then is a bin more of an eyesore than shit on the streets? If a PCSO doesn't have the authority who is going to fine these people? Have you seen a policeman walking the streets. Even if you did then no doubt there'd be someone saying to the poor bloke 'haven't you got any real criminals to catch?' You can never please all of the people...

Lincoln City Council said last year publically that they would clamp down on dog walkers who allow their dogs to foul the West Common and fail to pick up the dog mess left behind.
This has yet to be seen on the Common where it is still being used as a doggy toilet.
Last year I challenged a number of dog walkers who live on my estate and from the Long Leys Road area. I was verbally abused and like what has been already said they just walk away from what their dog had done by poohing on the Common.
Perhaps City Council will put aside some money and do what they said that they would do or are they just paper tigers with no bite.
City Council of course can waste taxpayers money by sending out letters about ending weekly rubbish collections where some householders have received three or four letters instead of one and costing you and I thousands of pounds in the process.
Some residents are fed up what dog walkers are allowed to do and get away with it. They are now going to spill the beans by informing Lincoln City Council who these people are and wait to see if Council officials have to eat their words if nothing is done. Maybe council officers are suffering from constipation and need a form of laxative to get them going!
Those dog walkers had better watch out as it could be their neighbours who are taking such action.
They are calling it community action which speaks louder than those who could not careless about the community as a whole.
Who will be following whom over this!

Civic pride and duty are not things that can grow from legislation. They never have, they never will.
Quite the opposite is the case.
Teach your children the 'correct' way and pride and duty will surely follow.

The culture of 'community informants' is not one which ought to be encouraged, however much
government backing there is for the scheme.

They are now going to spill the beans by informing Lincoln City Council who these people are

And the burdon of proof ? How will that be satisfied ? A little clarity of thought is required before anyone gets
too excited by the notion that this will solve the problem.

Now, I shall continue my research into the nutritional value of horse-pooh. As no-one seems too bothered
about that, there must be some good in it.

From my previous post over the summer, my views on this subject is already known. I continue to think its outragous and now its dark earlier, it'll happen even more.

As for someone letting their dog poo on someones property, that is completely out of order and i wouldnt hesitate in dealing with the matter in a completely irrational, over the top, she devil manner .
Over the top in some folks eyes, but to put my childs health at risk is one step too far.

I hope they get caught, and i hope for their sake its not me who catches them

That's the spirit to adopt.

There are far too many 'do gooders' out there ready to defend this type of behaviour.

Excuses for this, excuses for that.

Time to act and hit 'em where it hurts, start by fining the irresponsible morons.

You know someone that DEFENDS this?!! I have trouble even defending an old or disabled person who canoot stoop to clear as I am sure someone must have invented something for them to scoop with.
Fining. I wonder if the freedom of information act would tell us how often that one has been used...I'm with Phinger, you have an inbuilt pride or you don't. Clearly there are more that do than don't. If you emptied the dog bins back out our streets would be awash!

As a resident of "Westley`s Croft", i`m fed-up of dodging DOG DIRT left on the pavement on Mitchell Drive by irresponsible dog owners who ca`nt be bothered to "clean-up"on their way to or from the common. I`ve just reported this to someone from the "dog-warden" dept.at LCCouncil. She said they would try to do
MORE PATROL`S!! Not sure if this will do any good, but if ya d`ont make a stand!!!!!!!!-Anyway,seoson`s greetings to one and all, hopefully see you at the annual "carole service" on Saturday the 20th-regards.keith & carole Richardson-Oberon Close.

We've had numerous complaints from Westley's Croft residents about this and worst thing is that it is very UNlikley to be anyone/anydog living there. Gets in pram wheels, on shoes and then in the house. I have never seen a dog warden or anyone on The Common ready to pounce(do they look like 'normal people' or do they wear a fluorescent jacket I wonder). As we've said before with so few people having any power (I often see CSOs) what's to be done when as Phinger says these folk no longer have any pride in their environment.

For those that read above and think 'What Carol Service?' the flyers will be making their way around within the week.
