Hi there,
I'm Elizabeth Fish, associate editor of The Lincolnite. We came across a competition from NHS Lincolnshire that may be of interest to you, as you live in the area (though I happen to live in the West End!).
----
A competition has been launched to find a name for a new mental health unit currently being built in Lincoln.
Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is building a new £15-million rehabilitation unit on the St George’s Hospital site on Long Leys Road in Lincoln. The centre will replace two existing in-patient wards as well as creating a new female-only ward.
The Trust’s whole rehabilitation service is focused on working towards independence and recovery. The mental healthcare team help each service user regain their health and well-being so that they can go on and live as independently as possible in their own local communities.
The naming competition is open to everyone; name suggestions can be sent by one of two ways:
by email: communicationslpft@lpft.nhs.uk
by post: Freepost RRZH-RGXR-BLHY, Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Unit 9 The Point, Lions Way, Sleaford, Lincs NG34 8GG
The closing date for entries is 31 May 2011.
The best name will be picked by a panel of service users and NHS staff. The winner’s prize will include a £100 gift voucher and being invited to be part of the official opening of the new rehabilitation centre in 2012.
