In the past I have seen community initiatives whereby the 'locals', especially children, work with the police during speed enforcement campaigns and my understanding is that if you, as a driver are nabbed for speeding you have a choice :
1. get a ticket.
2. listen to what the 'locals' view on your excess speed is.
I will seek advice and assistance from the Road Safety Partnership, but prior to this I'd like to hear what support this idea would have from the local community.
