Cemetery extension

Postby JT » Mon May 04, 2009 8:02 pm

You know, with 2.5% expected mortallity from this new flu strain this summer and autumn, meaning over 2,000 deaths in Lincoln, I wouldn't be surprised if the City Council would need to extend the cemetery further up the hill. I wonder if they have plans to do this. Does anyone know?

I do happen to know that when bird flu was imminent, the Government had told Lincoln City to make provision for 18,000 graves and that mass graves were not acceptable. This is still on the cards so is the field to the North of St George's big enough?

If they haven't made some sort of contingency plans, someone will be 'pig sick'
