'Carols on the Green' - even if you're not going!

Postby deb » Mon Dec 15, 2008 10:31 am

As in previous years we need some kind souls to lend us some flasks for Saturday to keep your mulled wine hot. Please contact me if you can lend some - 526238. Even some of those candle hot plates if we get desperate!

This may be the last one as Pete is moving next year. If you've not been before we have some short festive readings and sing some Carols - Pete provides music and song sheets. We have lanterns and a fire pit and afterwards mince pies, mulled wine and orange juice for the kids.

We have some plastic cups but feel free to bring your own mug, lanterns or torches and join in what is always a lovely festive atmosphere down at The Lychgate (Persimmons front which is our Village Green).

Thank you for coming - and the other 80 or so that joined us. Thanks as ever to Pete for hosting and his wife for providing the live music made possible by the kind people allowing us to plug the electric piano in through their window. Another good evening that stayed dry and mild. The mulled wine was drained to the bottom!
