News has benn received from the City of Lincoln Council that a extraordinary committee meeting of the Lincoln Commons Advisory Panel has been arranged for WEDNESDAY, 14th JULY, beginning 6PM. This meeting will take place in COMMITTEE ROOMS 1, 2, and 3 to accommodate the public and the media who wish to be there. These rooms will be converted into one chamber. The discussion will be between City councillors who are members of this panel and serving committee members who represent various bodies using the West Common, and hopefully a representative of the Lincoln Racecourse Regeneration Company to answer questions.
The general public and the media are not allowed to take part in the discussions, similar to other council meetings.
The meeting will be about the proposals of the Lincoln Racecourse Regeneration Company, the Lincoln Racecourse Trust, and Karl McCartney, the Lincoln MP, who are behind the plans to use the West Common for professional flat horse racing.
Councillor Helen Heath, is one of three serving City councillors for Carholme Ward, and as chairman of the CAP, will be chairing this important meeting. She has requested that a representative of the LRRC or Karl McCartney himself who launched their document to the media at the Grandstand on Friday, 11th June, to be there.
