Funding Pot

No specific detail yet on what/amounts etc but if funding were available for the area what sort of things would you like to see? Give any ideas no matter how wild, cheap or expensive but preferably sensible. We will not be applying for a dry ski slope or venicular railway but a couple of lockable noticeboards might be useful or some picnic benches on The Common when the golfers vacate the greens. In the past a nature trail through the land at the top of Manrico was also suggested. Unfortunately play areas for the kids cannot be considered as we have already been down that route and it needs 100% support from surrounding houses which was not given.

Good News is that we have secured money from Neil Murray's and Karen Lee's ward budgets for one grit bin (more should follow) which will be sited by the electricity station on Manrico. If we can get it (!!) there will be salt in it too. The County Council have agreed to take over the maintenance and filling of the bin when the estate is adopted so we should be good under our own steam for any icy spells this year and the County will fill thereafter. There is also a request for a bin on Berrilldon which could be sited on the wide green verge. So, many thanks once again to all our local councillors as Helen Heath provided funding for the Carol Service.
