CLOSER TO HOME BURGLARY

Postby robcrack » Wed Sep 24, 2008 10:02 pm

There was a disturbed burglary just after 0400hrs Wed 24th at a house on L/L/ Road near to the top of Mitchell Drive. Male on a bike. I am led to believe the french doors at the back were the target. Not sure if a coincidence but my alarm internal sounder started at 0417hrs. Never done it before. 1st time we have ever left front door keys on floor in hall. Theory is that someone has been reaching through with an implement to get the keys and the PIR has detected it. Won't do that again.................

Thanks for keeping us informed, we all need to be extra vigilant now that the nights are drawing in, lets not give billy burglar an easy time on our estate and remember the police are only as effective as the information they recieve, so if you see something suspicious report it , better for someone to be stopped by the police and found to be doing nothing wrong than some low life ransacking your home because you didnt make that call.

Thanks Robcrack.
We all have a duty to be vigilant on our estate.
Let's keep doors and windows shut and locked!
The Police can only act on the information they receive so lets keep them up to date with all the information we can.
Especially the house that is receiving regular visitors at the bottom end of Mitchell Drive!!

Even closer to home. I had my garage broken into last night, between 19.00-06.30 and someone stole my bike :(
I though living in a nice area of Lincoln, Fulmen Close, I would be safe from meaningless crime.

Reported it this morning and got a call from a friendly young lady from the comm centre just a few mins ago. I did mention it to the young lady that I had made people aware of it via this website.
