Unfortunately, until we are 'adopted' which could be two years away, our highways are not subject to the law (there is a policeman who uses the site so may be able to confirm this) i.e. you cannot be done for speeding, parking too close to a bend, leaving your engine running while you nip back in your house, not wearing a safety belt etc etc. I bet there'll be a lovely track mark in what could have been a whole street of nice verges. The other thing about parking is that we do not own the street outside our house and though I may have slapped a 'this is NOT the hospital car park' in a fit of exasperation on a car on the one way street that is Carram, legally they can park there same as the residents. It is, as people are saying, 'consideration' and if folk haven't got it they probably won't get it. We can glower though!
