The historical of the Beating of the Bounds has been traditional for many years.
Local residents are invited to come and claim the four corners of the West Common this coming Sunday, 27th April.
Please meet at the West Parade main gate at 2.00pm.
The Rev Ian Brown will bless the walk before it begins and then residents can follow the appointed guide who will take you to these four points on the common.
Come and listen to the stories which have been associated with the West Common for centuries. It will be something to remember it by.
Walking boots/wellingtons is recommended and the walk should take between an hour to an hour and a half.
Refreshments will be available when the walk is completed.
So kindly do come and meet other folk who wish that the West Common remains part of Lincoln which is considered a critical natural assett as with the other two commons called the South Common and The Cowpaddle.
