The second lecture of the aviation season that is being held at the Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre will take place on Wednesday, 23rd April, beginning at 7.30pm.

Squadron Leader Mike Pugh-Davies is the guest speaker and his talk will be about The RAF in the Falklands War.

Mike joined the Royal Air Force in 1976 and trained as a navigator. He has flown many hours on Canberras, Phantoms and Tornado F3s as well as other front line aircraft as a NATO evaluator.

He has served two tour of duties in the Falkland Islands and has been to Afghanistan. During his carreer as an officer he has served in a variety of flying and staff appointments around the world.

The talk will be held in the WW2 gymnasium which was part of RAF Metheringham.

Admission is £3.00 for visitors which includes refreshments but is free to members of the Friends of Metheringham Airfield and 106 Squadron which flew from this former Lancaster bomber airfield during World War Two.
