The media is concentrating on those at the top being transparent and government bodies whether national and local stop hiding things from the general public.
In the case of the mentioned article I thought it be be revelent to what goes on behind the scenes.
In this case was political correctness being used to cover medical terms in order to hide certain types of patients and their medical condition.
We all know how political correctness is eating at the heart of society and how we live. Hence so many problems arising.
I give no apology in what I share whether people agree or not. I just pass on information coming my way.
That is how the Lord Almighty God has created me ( I myself being a christian - in the eyes of some, I should not declaring this just in case I offend minorities...but then I have become one of the minorities!), so I am prepared to share news and news updates concerning our community, even to the extent of disagreement coming from other sources.
What happens with what remains as known to be St Georges Hospital awaits to be seen.
At least what I share is followed up by those having further information on the subject matter.
It is a good job that we have Deborah on board providing information and clarifying the situation. She has been a gem serving the community too!

Reply from the hospital "no-one was stopped from leaving the car park, but we did have the police come to the unit on two occasions last week. This was to return two service users who had absconded on unescorted leave, ie been out but not come back at the agreed time. This does happen from time to time and is nothing like the story in the Daily Mail. We don’t have serial rapists in our rehab services!"

My boyfriend was stopped from leaving the estate by the police last week. They did say it was because of the hospital. I don't we can make an issue of the new building, we all knew the hospital was there when we decided to live here.

cl12 that is not true .when a lot of people moved here the hospital site we were informed was going to be sold of for housing plus community facilities were also to be provided in the area which the extra houses may- only may i must add- have helped secured these facilities for us all .i for one did not buy into at one side of us all a grave yard with all the traffic problems etc it will bring with it, also it is possible it will result in the loss of the only community facility ie horse riding school closing down and a secure hospital at the other side of us resulting in the problems like last week also the parking issues on carram also all there traffic being diverted through a housing estate and its problems that will cause to the not so young of us/ disabled / children etc who use the roads
having said all that yes we have to accept the hospital is there but as i said in a posting a few days ago. its should have its own entrance put in to it and that would result in a lot [not all] of the issues going away and not impacting on us all
also the hospital may like to rent /lease or donate a building to be used by the community **** pigs may fly ****

Maybe the person was seen back but hadn't reported back. When I went out last week there was a guy tucked between the bushes and the trees at the front of the hospital eating his sandwiches. If it happens again cl12 ask your man to ask why - could be the police were acting on their own volition rather than the hospital's. These aren't dangerous people but the police, like many who don't fully undestand mental health, were perhaps over cautious.
I agree with you rather than Iggy on the hospital thing because it was only rumour that the hospital grounds would be built on, probably from the sales staff of DWH making the assumption that they've sold this much they're bound to sell the rest. The hospital itself never intended to sell any more land than it had already and was always going to be there if it could. Yes there's traffic but whether Carram or Benbow entrance, it's a place of work. I'm not sure that the Carram parking isn't more Beauty Salon as there isn't the same problem on a Monday when it's closed...! Traffic flow does need to be looked at though and if the front entrance is closed that won't help.
As for the patients, let's hope that they continue to benefit from facilities whether here or elsewhere and that some can get back on with a better life and while all that happens, that as far as possible, no one - residents or patients - is troubled.
