Photo shoot at The Grandstand on Monday, 24/9/07, at 9am...

Residents are most probably aware by now the dilapidated state and neglect of The Grandstand on our West Common. Not much has been done for several years and already tree saplings, weeds and grasses have taken root on its steps. The paintwork on the outside of the building is in an appalling state and the woodwork is rotting away.
It is a listed Grade 1 building which was built for the Carholme Race Course way ...

Sunday delivery of the questionaire...

Residents from our small estate received the Lincoln City Council's questionaire which was inside their 16 page newspaper.
Royal Mail did not deliver it (they don't deliver mail on Sundays) but it appears that it was posted through every letter box by someone/persons on foot.
It is exactly the same supplement that was with the Lincolnshire Echo last Monday.
There was a franked envelope with it for its return.
Whether it was delivered throughout Lincoln ...

Care to take a stroll and walk up Steep Hill...

This may be of interest to local residents.
The media are now responding...

Many people walking up and down the famous Steep Hill of Lincoln over the last seven months have been intrigued why scaffolding and tarpaulin have surrounded number 28 for so long.

All was revealed last weekend when the huge canvases were finally removed leaving the building painted in bright colours inside as well as been given a new coat of painted outside ...

Official Update on Completion of St. Georges

The following has been received today from Cllr Gratrick (a Conservative cllr not in our Ward but extremely helpful and lives locally). It is from Dave Underwood, another one of the good guys from the council. The meeting it refers to was with Gary and you'll note that Dave does not believe that promises made by Persimmons can actually be carried out as fast as they said - but they will be carried out!

Dear ...
