Gate to West Common on West Parade padlocked and closed...

A number of residents have asked me this morning why the West Parade gate to the West Common has been padlocked and closed to the public. A number with pushchairs and bikes had to come back to the Long Leys Road entrance to do a detour.
The same applied by Common users from the West Parade area.

Happy 2nd Birthday

Evening All!

Stgeorgesonline.co.uk is 2 years old today!

14th Oct 2006 was the B-day of the concept, the website going live a few days later on the 21st.

Doesn't time fly...

Maybe time for a facelift, new features, extra content etc... Any suggestions?

The Reaper at your doorstep...

The new Royal Air Force un-manned aircraft has caused quite a stir since being tested and awaiting to become fully operational in the United Kingdom.
The aircraft called The Reaper has been flown already and used in Afghanistan by the American Air force.

Anyone lost a cat?

We were out walking the dog just a few minutes ago & unfortunately have noticed a dead cat.
It is dark brown with some smaller cream patches, wearing a bright red collar.
It is on The Green(just off Long Leys Road) in front of the three storey Westbury houses.

Other priorities come first when suspects are reported...

Reidents on Oakleigh Drive, Long Leys Road and on Westelys Croft were subjected to loud screams and noise coming from the Ornamental Pomd last night on the West Common. During the course of the evening there were torches flashing and torches were shone into the back windows from youths walking about the Common.

Lincoln County Council, Highways Department are not responsible for faulty street lighting yet as the roads have not been adopted.

CLOSER TO HOME BURGLARY

There was a disturbed burglary just after 0400hrs Wed 24th at a house on L/L/ Road near to the top of Mitchell Drive. Male on a bike. I am led to believe the french doors at the back were the target.
