Save some money!

Came across this site the other day:

http://www.internet-treats4u.co.uk/

With the credit crunch and economic doom and gloom this site might be able to save you a few quid.

I've been looking at it for a while now and its seems like they are adding content all the time. Just thought i'd let everyone know, especially as the summer holidays are fast approaching.

The vet with two Lightnings...

This may be of interest to those liking aeroplanes for this person owns two...

People would wonder why a qualified veterninary surgeon and who was elected to serve on the Council of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and dealing with disciplinary matters on its Disciplinary Committee, should still have time and have an interest in aviation.

Well, Charles Ross, is such a person and is using his talents in the field of aviation. For ...

Roads, footpaths & drains

Dear all,
I have had a brief reply from Persimmon about the roads, footpaths & drains. They have completed their inspection of the roads & footpaths, but have still to do the CCTV check on the drains. Once this has been done, they can invite their contractors to tender for the work. This should take place within a couple of weeks.
I have asked them if it will be one contract for the whole lot. ...

SNEAK IN BURGLARY

Don't want to do the job of the local policing team as i'm sure they would be puttting a message on very soon, however, yesterday there was another 'sneak in' type burglary on Long Leys Road - lower number. Occupant in front garden whilst billy burglar nips in the back door and within seconds removes bag with cash.
If anyone sees anything suspicious in the area don't hesitate to call the police 882222. If you ...

Planning Application for Willow on Carram Close

John has received a planning app to reduce and reshape a weeping willow by 35%. Wynbrook the builder have applied for this for 6 Carram Close. The appn. number is 2008/0399/TPO and the person for comment/objection is tracy.lynn@lincoln.gov.uk.

I always have concerns about willow trees near old drainage and also in clay soil areas. Whilst they can effectively suck up water they find water leaks and make their way into ...

Manrico Topsoil is for that Carram Verge

You know the top soil at the top of Manrico that at least 4 of us have had digs at, I have been accused 'technically' of theft which is I suppose correct. The pile has half gone so still a fair bit left and of course the rain has washed some and whatever was underneath is probably now dead but the man said 'you try and make a place look nice, get complaints if you ...

Lincs Show ticket to best offer

Unfortunately, due to an unavoidable family problem I have a ticket going spare for the Show (either day though the forecast is best for Thursday!). The Showground, despite trying to appeal to their best nature (hospitalisation is 'not their fault' nor it seems a good enough excuse), will not grant a refund. The ticket is £14, £2 cheaper than on the day so if you're interested, let me know.

Thanks

Permission granted for cemetery

Full council met last night following the site visit for councillors to Bakers Field to consider the application for permission to put a cemetery on the site. Following two days of warm sunny weather, councillors didn't get to see the problems with the rising springs and water run off that happens in bad weather. Plenty of youngsters were there riding horses, and a number of residents were also present, but were not permitted to lobby ...
