Scrap Metal Thefts - HM Government ePetition

From Lincolnshire Alert:
You cannot have failed to read in the papers or seen reports on the television that there has been a staggering increase in the number of metal thefts in the last year. I would encourage ALL Neighbourhood Watch and Home Watch members to sign an online e-petition, which would cause a parliamentary debate on the subject of moving towards a cashless business model for scrap metal dealers. You can sign the petition ...

Designated Public Place Order

Hello all

We've received the notice, copied below, regarding a DPPO to give the police powers to stop people drinking (alcohol!) in the designated area. This has all been pretty well publicised, so isn't news as such, but be aware that the coverage of the proposed DPPO is much samller than originally discussed and no longer covers the West End.

There's still a week left to give feedback if you have any issues.

Regards

sunken halogen -how do you get the darn thing out!

I have two halogen downlighters in the flyover over the kitchen sink. One has blown and I cannot get the thing out. I have pressed as hard as I can to turn anticlockwise, tried it with rubber gloves for extra grip and there's not the slightest movement. Any tips or anyone think they can do it!
Thanks

Intruder on St George's

A young man was seen in the back garden of a property around 4.30, a property open at the front and surrounded on three sides by other houses. It is thought he possibly hopped(?!) over from being disturbed at another property. The owner on seeing him, dashed out thinking he’d got him given that the gate was locked top and bottom but no, the young man had already sorted his exit and undone it. The ...

Police invitation

Lincolnshire police are holding an ACT Now event; Act now stands for all communities together and is an interactive community counter terrorism exercise.
