cracks to path on Mitchell drive(between no`s 10 &12

This "post"may be of interest to residence of "westleys Croft" i have reported the above to the highways dept at LDCouncil today(17/08/10)
This stretch of pathway has two large cracks on it that the h/ways dept were`nt aware of.THEY DO KNOW!! wonder how long it will take before they actually get around to FIXING it!!-keith

The Executive reject horse racing for the West Common...

A number of residents from the Long Leys Road area, including myself, attended the Executive meeting yesterday evening. The media interviewed me and a host of others who came.

Cancellation of public picnic 22nd August at grandstand

A last minute celebration picnic took place on the common on sunday 15th, following news about the "racecourse" plans. After three community picnics over four sundays, another, on 22nd August seems a bit OTT. However, their popularity means that regular community picnics on the common may continue fortnightly. A list of future dates will be posted in due course.

Street Markings

Many months ago now, someone from the Council went around the estate with a yellow aerosol paint spray marking dropped kerbs, cracked kerbs, cracked path edgings, sunken tarmac, sunken water meters etc, etc. The intention being that NOT for the first time the developer would follow up and rectify this shoddy and unacceptable workmanship. This would have been in preperation for adoption of the roads and paths.

No such luck. This was so long ago ...

celebration picnic Sunday 15th August 3pm

Supporters of http://www.handsoffourcommon.co.uk are celebrating the news about West Common, announced in the Echo on 13.8.10. If the weather is fine, there will be a public picnic on West Common on Sunday 15th August at 3pm. EVERYONE is welcome (it doesn't matter whether or not you were involved in the campaign, you just need to appreciate the common!). Please bring your own picnics and rugs, chairs, kites, frisbees, games ...

public picnic

All fans of Lincoln West Common are invited to a community picnic on SUNDAY 22nd AUGUST 1PM at CARHOLME GRANDSTAND. The first two picnics attracted crowds of about 80 each time. Musicians are especially welcome again! Please bring your own food etc.
